PD Blower Silencers incorporating acoustic pack material
Stoddard Silencers’ chamber-absorption silencers are designed to address the airborne noise created by PD blower systems operating above transition speed along with other various applications. Offered are both intake & discharge silencer models in both standard and premium grade degrees of silencing.
The D33 series of silencers is the best option for maximum noise reduction while the PD33 series combines the performance of the D33H silencer and adds an integrated table base to install a PD blower and its motor.
D33 / D33H Series

Design
A multi-chambered silencer containing a high-frequency absorption device in addition to a special arrangement of volumes and all passageways to effectively reduce both pulsations and excessive high frequency through the process of converting noise energy into heat. D33 Silencers may be installed horizontally or vertically. Design parameters permit nozzle orientation to suit installation requirements.
Construction
Stoddard’s industrial blower silencers feature all welded steel sheet and plate construction for long service life and come standard with a red oxide primer. Inlet & Outlet connections feature plate flanges match 125/150# ANSI bolt patterns or MPT pipe connections. Mounting hardware (legs, saddles and clips) along with stainless steel construction, special paint finishes and ASME code construction are available on request.

PD33 – Premium Discharge Silencer & Base
Application
The Stoddard PD33 is a premium blower discharge silencer recommended for blowers operating above transition speed. The PD33 design allows the blower, motor and belt guard to be mounted as an integral part of the silencer through use of a steel plate tabletop. The PD33 is designed to facilitate package assembly, thereby reducing labor and the overall costs of assembling smaller pneumatic blower packages.
The PD33 incorporates all the benefits of the D33H blower silencer . The inlet is designed to accept a slip-on style flex connector for easy connection to the blower discharge. Additional accessories including the intake filter silencer, intake silencer with support, flex connectors and belt guard are available as part of PD33 Packages “A”, “B” and “C”.

A PRV connection is featured in the final chamber to install a relief valve when necessary.

The outlet connection features either an MPT pipe or flange matching 125/150# ANSI bolt pattern. Stainless steel construction, special paint finishes and ASME code construction are available on request.
